This site is a tribute to Louise Appleby, she is much loved and will always be remembered.

Lou was sadly diagnosed with liver cancer in February.  She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Heart of Kent Hospice on 17th September 2024.

Lou was such a kind and thoughtful person, full of fun and laughter.  We're sure many people will think of her often and smile.

For all the years we’ve known each other I will be forever grateful I had you as my friend, to me a best friend. Whenever I needed you, you was there for me, someone to cry too, advising me when times were tough, making me laugh and even telling me things that maybe I might not of wanted to hear but you were right and I needed to hear them. I can’t thank you enough for that. When I look back through all our messages I laugh and cry at it all. 70% was sharing our love of food, 10% was silly memes and just randomness, 10% the love for a bargain and the final 10% was you showing us Andy sparko after a hard days work when you wanted to watch tv with him 😂. You truly were amazing and always put others first. Thank you for choosing me to be your friend. 💙💔

I’ve been thinking for weeks now, must catch up with Lou soon, haven’t spoken in an while, and by the time I’d gotten round to doing it, you were gone. I’ll always regret not reaching out sooner but I truly hope you knew how much I valued our chats, our friendship. Every time I light a candle I will think of you, mainly because I can hear you scolding me 😅 but wow… Lou… you have been taken from your family and friends FAR too soon and you will be so deeply, deeply missed. My heartfelt condolences to Andy, her children, her family and friends. May the hole she’s left in our lives be filled with the wonderful memories she gave us.
